Ken Monroe: Our CEO Explained

Ken Monroe leads the Background Investigation Bureau (BIB) as our CEO. Before becoming CEO, Ken was deeply involved in sales and operations. His journey to the top started in the aftermath of the 2009 financial crisis. Ken saw firsthand how better screening could have prevented some of the financial disasters he observed. This insight sparked his commitment to improving safety and reliability in hiring, which led him to BIB.

Ken Monroe leads the Background Investigation Bureau (BIB) as our CEO. Before becoming CEO, Ken was deeply involved in sales and operations. His journey to the top started in the aftermath of the 2009 financial crisis. Ken saw firsthand how better screening could have prevented some of the financial disasters he observed. This insight sparked his commitment to improving safety and reliability in hiring, which led him to BIB.

Ken's Path Within BIB:

Ken started with us as the Director of Sales and Operations. His background in finance and a keen eye for detail helped him quickly identify the critical role effective screening plays in preventing financial and reputational damage to companies. His dedication to creating safer workplaces and hiring reliable people propelled him from overseeing sales and operations to becoming the Chief Operating Officer. In this role, he managed our various services, including data handling, occupational health, and drug testing, along with background checks. Following a successful deal involving our data services, Ken was promoted to CEO and became the majority shareholder.
